Snake River Boat Builders Export Program

The goal of the Snake River Boat Builders Export Program is to develop viable foreign markets for the welded-aluminum jet boat manufacturers and suppliers located in the greater Lewiston, Idaho/Clarkston, Washington region. This initial focus is on the European market.

The program has partnered with U.S. Commercial Service offices in Spokane, Washington; Boise, Idaho; Düsseldorf, Germany; Frankfurt, Germany; Brussels, Belgium; Madrid, Spain and Izmir, Turkey. The domestic and international media have been most generous with coverage in Seattle Business, Northwest Sportsman Magazine, Trade Only, The Puget Sound Business Journal, Professional Boat Builder, Skipper Boote Und Yachting (Germany), Naviga (Turkey) and El Mundo (Spain). Two trade missions have successfully been completed including boat importers from Germany and Holland and U.S. Commercial Service Trade Specialists from throughout Europe. Program participants have become “export experts” and developed their “export team” through a series of intensive classes (export finance, freight & logistics, CE Mark Certification, etc.) presented by leading professionals from around the world.
