The goal of the Snake River Boat Builders Export Program is to develop viable foreign markets for the welded-aluminum jet boat manufacturers and suppliers located in the greater Lewiston, Idaho/Clarkston, Washington region. This was initially accomplished by focusing on the European Union, primarily Germany.

The program partnered with the U.S. Commercial Service offices in Spokane, Washington and Frankfurt, Germany as well as Skipper Boote Und Yachting magazine, Miesbach, Germany to promote the industry and recruit European boat buyers for a trade mission to Lewiston/Clarkston in October, 2010 where they participated in factory and river tours. Prior to the trade mission, the program's participants became "export experts" and developed their "export team" through a series of intensive classes presented by leading professionals from around the world. In January, 2011 the program participants exhibited in the Snake River Boat Builders Pavilion at boot Düsseldorf, Germany, January, 2011 (please see the link boot Düsseldorf).
